Stunning scenery

Norway. Lofoten and Vesteralen are an archipelago in the county of Nordland, within the Arctic Circle. From Norse, Lofoten means “foot of a lynx” compared to the shape of the island and are characterised by mountains and peaks, sheltered inlets, stretches of seashore and large virgin areas. Vesteralen means “strait of the west” and its landscape is mountainous, but the mountains have a more rounded shape compared to the mountains in Lofoten.
